Data controller and contact

Matteo Mosca is the data controller for PressKitHub (presskithub.io). For privacy requests, ownership disputes, or questions about this notice, contact matt@presskithub.io.

Data used to provide the service

When someone submits a Steam URL, we fetch public game information such as its name, description and media, then store and publish a press-kit page. The person submitting a URL does not become the game's verified owner. If you create an account, our authentication provider, Supabase, processes your email and sign-in data. We store account identifiers, content you add, ownership requests and their review status to operate the service.

We process this information to provide the service, handle requests and protect kits from unauthorized editing. Account and press-kit data are necessary for the features you choose to use; they are separate from optional analytics consent. Public kit pages can be viewed without an account.

The basis for optional analytics is your consent. We process account and press-kit information to provide requested features, and review ownership or abuse reports to protect the service and rights holders. Where applicable, these activities rely on contract performance or legitimate interests, subject to your rights under data protection law.

Optional analytics and cookies

Only if you select Accept do we set first-party cookies for a random visitor identifier, referral source and UTM campaign parameters. They last up to 12 months. We use them to understand visits, downloads, generation steps and which channels bring users to the service. Analytics events can also include a kit, game or account identifier, so this data is pseudonymous and may be personal data. We do not use advertising cookies or a third-party analytics platform.

If you select Decline, we do not set these optional cookies or record optional analytics events. You can change your choice at any time using Cookie settings; declining after acceptance removes the optional cookies and stops future analytics. It does not erase events already recorded. Your choice is also remembered in your browser's local storage. Technical cookies needed for sign-in and basic operation may still be used.

Service providers and sources

Vercel hosts the application, Supabase provides authentication, and our database stores service data. We retrieve public game information from Steam. These services may process technical request data needed to operate the site. Please contact us for details about applicable provider locations and transfers.

Retention and rights

We keep account, press-kit and request data while needed to provide the service or handle legitimate requests. Optional analytics cookies expire after at most 12 months unless you remove them earlier. To ask about stored records, correction, deletion, export, or the retention of a particular record, email matt@presskithub.io. Applicable law may also give you rights to restrict or object to processing and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.

Changes

We may update this notice as the service changes. The date above shows when this version was published. Continuing to use the service does not replace consent for optional analytics.
